The OpportunityWe are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Hygiene Supervisor (Food Manufacturing) to join our team. We re looking for a proactive, adaptable individual to lead the site Hygiene Team, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene activity of all production areas.
What You Will Be Doing- Responsible for maintaining and updating the sites hygiene manual including cleaning instruction cards for all hygiene tasks around the factory, cleaning schedules and training records.
- Assist in the management of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) documentations.
- Responsible for all people management aspects of the team including training and development.
- Involvement in accident investigations to prevent re-occurrence.
- Assist Technical team including providing technical information as required by both internal and external customers.
- Management of the Consumables stocks (PPE & Consumables).
- Involvement in preparing for BRC and other internal / external audits.
- Involvement of continuous improvement in relation to site hygiene and safe systems of work.
- Carry out inspection sign offs following completion of process equipment cleaning/ engineering maintenance. Ensuring high hygiene standards across site.
- Experience in a similar food manufacturing industry (chilled food desirable).
- Previous people management experience.
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene minimum.
- HACCP Level 2 minimum.
- IOSH in Health & Safety principles (desirable)
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and quality
- Ability to demonstrate and describe procedures effectively
- Successfully build and manage a team as well as motivate staff
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach
- Good communication skills with professional and positive attitude
