Head of Environment, Health, and Safety

Head of HSE | Permanent | Hybrid - Lancashire | up to £65,000 + car allowance.

We’re looking for a Head of HSE to work alongside directly the Directors of a growing Renewables, Grid and Energy business.

You'll be leading a business-wide Health, Safety & Environmental strategy across a growing utilities and infrastructure operation.

This is a visible, senior role. You’ll act as the principal HSE advisor to the Board, embed a proactive safety culture, and ensure the organisation operates safely, compliantly and sustainably.

• Setting and continuously improving the HSE & Occupational Health strategy
• Leading ISO management systems and audit processes
• Acting as HSE lead for CDM, NERS and Electrical Safety compliance
• Embedding practical, proportionate risk management (CPPs, RAMS, operational assurance)
• Overseeing contractor and supply chain HSE governance
• Driving performance through meaningful KPIs and data-led insight
• Supporting ESG and environmental improvement initiatives (carbon, waste, energy)

• Senior-level HSE leadership experience
• Background within utilities, electrical or infrastructure environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, CDM, NERS and Electrical Safety Rules
• Professional membership (e.g. IOSH)

• Salary up to £65,000
