Lancaster University Facilities Service Delivery Division has a vacancy for a van driver. Facilities manage all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, landscaping, security, accommodation, hospitality, sport, capital development and general maintenance of the estate. • Duties will include the issuing/receiving and control of cleaning consumables and providing a delivery service around campus for Service Delivery and other teams within Facilities.
• The driver will have contact with the cleaning supervisors, other university staff, students and with contractors and suppliers.
• The van driver may also be required to complete any cleaning duties, as and when required.
• A current driving licence is essential.

• You should be hard working, reliable and possess excellent customer service skills. Experience is essential and you should be working in a similar environment, achieving high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems.
• Knowledge and/or a relevant qualification in health and safety is desirable and you should be prepared to undertake further training and development.
• You must be educated to at least Functional Skills level 1 in English and Maths, and this is equivalent to GCSE Grade D – G.
• The hours are 36.5 per week, working Monday – Friday 7am start.
