The Business

A £70m+ consumer brand business operating across B2C and B2B channels, with a strong ecommerce footprint and burgeoning international growth is looking to hire a Director of Technology.

The business is performing extremely well, with double digit revenue and margin improvement year on year. There is real momentum, a highly aligned leadership team, and a continuing mandate to invest in technology as a driver of future growth.

As part of this next phase, they are looking to appoint a Director of Technology to take ownership of the technology function and help shape how digital platforms support continued scale.

This role represents a step-change in technology leadership. Core systems, infrastructure, ERP and security are in a good place, following a period of transformation. The emphasis now shifts to customer-facing platforms, digital commerce, and international expansion.

Reporting into the CFO, you will lead technology across the organisation, with particular focus on:

• Scaling D2C ecommerce platforms
• Selecting and delivering a B2B ordering portal
• Supporting international growth, including new market/territory launches
• Building internal capability while continuing to leverage specialist third-party partners

The role is weighted towards growth and commercial enablement rather than pure IT operations.

• Help to develop the end-to-end technology strategy across D2C, B2B and core business systems
• Act as the senior technology voice to the executive team and board
• Lead the selection and implementation of a B2B ecommerce solution for international customers
• Develop and localise D2C platforms across brands and geographies
• Partner closely with commercial, marketing and customer teams to improve digital performance and customer experience
• Build, lead and develop internal technology teams, including expanding in-house development capability
• Manage and hold third-party technology partners to account

• A senior technology leader (Director / Head of Technology) within an omnichannel FMCG business
• Proven experience delivering D2C and B2B ecommerce platforms
• Commercially minded, with experience supporting revenue growth rather than only maintaining systems
• Comfortable operating in a high-growth consumer environment
• Strong leadership capability, able to influence stakeholders, drive team performance and deliver in complex settings
