Housekeeper - Surgical Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit | East Hospitals NHS Trust

Overview

Band 2 Housekeeper on Surgical Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit (SAECU) and Emergency Surgical Unit (ESU). Provide non‑clinical support to the unit team under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Maintain a safe and clean environment, support nutritional needs by ordering non‑clinical supplies, and ensure adequate stock levels.

• Run daily patient services such as meal and drink provision.
• Keep ward stocks up to date and maintain storage and cleanliness of equipment and furnishings.
• Order non‑clinical supplies and report faults.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks, including monthly audits.
• Receive visitors to the unit and reassure patients.
• Attend necessary meetings, feed back relevant information and act within own scope.
