About the role
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team to work in the area of Diabetes alongside world class multidisciplinary team colleagues.
You will be based predominantly at the Minerva centre in Preston with our community dietetic team but will also deliver a range of diabetic clinics alongside the highly specialised Diabetes Dietitian at the Royal Preston Hospital and at the Chorley and South District General Hospital sites.
Key responsibilities- Deliver a wide range of diabetic clinics including Antenatal, Type 1 and Type 2 complex clinics.
- Provide domiciliary visits and group education work.
- Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the diabetes specialist nurse team, diabetologists, nutrition team and other AHP colleagues.
- Support student training and provide P1, P2 and P3 placements.
- Develop knowledge and skills in managing more complex patients with the support of the diabetes MDT team.
- Contribute to service development, group education and clinical audit experience.
