Social Worker | Permanent | Part Time, 18.5 hours per week | Safeguarding Adults | East/West Lancashire

Join Lancashire County Council as a Social Worker in our Safeguarding Adults team. This permanent, part‑time role (18.5 hours per week) requires an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting adults to live independently and safely.

In this position you will lead and coordinate Safeguarding Enquiries within a specialist team, working in a fast‑paced and highly supportive environment. The role involves:

  • Lead and coordinate Safeguarding Enquiries, ensuring the person or their representative is actively involved and empowered throughout the enquiry.
  • Work in a strengths‑based way to reduce risks and achieve desired outcomes for adults aged 18 or over who are at risk of, or experiencing, abuse or neglect.

Requirements

  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE) or must have applied to register.
  • Position covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975; you will need to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service for a DBS disclosure.
  • Must provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and you must be insured for business use (exception for disability).
