Our client is a leading engineering organisation delivering advanced, custom‑built machinery across multiple industries. They are looking for a Systems Engineer to design, integrate and optimise complex electromechanical systems, working across mechanical, electrical, control and software disciplines.

- Develop system architectures and translate customer requirements into technical designs.
- Define subsystem interfaces and support full mechanical‑electrical‑software integration.
- Lead system analysis, feasibility work, risk assessments and design reviews.
- Produce and maintain FDS documents, control philosophies and test plans.
- Support machine build, FAT/SAT, commissioning and customer interactions.
- Diagnose system‑level issues and drive engineering improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and support documentation for manuals.
- Experience with complex electromechanical systems or bespoke machinery.
- Strong understanding of automation, PLCs, sensors, motion control and industrial networks.
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and system documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and cross‑functional communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards (CE/Machinery Directive/EN ISO 13849) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Siemens PLCs and CAD/CAE tools is beneficial.
