We're working with a prominent building services contractor in Blackpool to find an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity and technical accuracy to complex electrical designs across commercial and public-sector buildings.

What You ll Be Doing- Producing electrical designs from concept through to construction stage
- Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to develop clear, buildable solutions
- Reviewing specifications, drawings, and client requirements
- Undertaking calculations, lighting designs, cable sizing, and distribution layouts
- Supporting tender and construction documentation
- Liaising with pre-construction, estimating, and site delivery teams
- Conducting site visits as needed to assess design integration and buildability
- Assisting junior design staff and contributing to continuous design improvement
- Strong background in electrical building services design
- Experience working for a contractor or consultancy on commercial and public sector projects
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, Relux)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Knowledge of current building regs and BS 7671 wiring regulations
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
- Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
