Time Plan Education is recruiting an EAL Learning Mentor to support pupils with English as an Additional Language in a diverse secondary school. This is ideal for someone with language skills and a passion for supporting newly arrived and developing English learners.
As an EAL Learning Mentor, you will:- Support EAL pupils in class, clarifying instructions and key vocabulary.
- Deliver small-group or 1:1 language support sessions focused on speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- Help pupils adapt to school routines, culture and expectations.
- Work closely with class teachers and the EAL/SEN team to track progress and adapt support.
- Have experience working with EAL learners or in a multilingual setting.
- Be a clear communicator, patient and culturally sensitive.
- Be organised, proactive and able to build supportive relationships with students and families.
