Technical Learning Support Assistant

Overview

Do you enjoy hands-on work and want to make a real difference to learners in Construction and Engineering? Lancaster and Morecambe College are seeking a Technical Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional learning needs in both practical workshops and classroom sessions. You will help learners build practical skills, promote safe working practices, contribute to session planning, and monitor and record their progress.

• Support students with additional learning needs in practical workshops and classroom sessions.
• Help learners build practical skills and promote safe working practices.
• Contribute to session planning and monitor and record learner progress.

• Practical construction or engineering experience.
• Ability to relate well to young people and support their individual learning needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; a flexible, empathetic approach.
• A relevant vocational qualification.
• Additional SEND-related or Health & Safety qualifications are an advantage.

• Location: Lancaster
• Salary: £24,932 per annum, pro rata
• Hours: Part time - Up to 30 hours per week, term-time only
