Overview
Teaching Assistants - Primary & SEND - Oldham
Empowering Learning is looking to appoint enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools across Oldham. We have a mix of full-time, part-time, and flexible day-to-day roles available, starting immediately and throughout the academic year.
You will be working alongside class teachers and SENCOs to support children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including pupils with additional needs in 1:1 and small group settings.
The role will involve:- Supporting pupils' learning in class, small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
- Supporting pupils with SEND and behavioural needs, following individual support plans
- Assisting with classroom routines, resources and displays
- Building strong, professional relationships with staff, pupils and parents
- Promoting good behaviour and safeguarding at all time
- Have recent experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work or similar)
- Are patient, reliable, and committed to supporting young people
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are confident following guidance from the class teacher and SEND staff
- Ideally hold a relevant TA qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level
3) - this is desirable, not essential - Are available to work in schools across the Oldham area
- A variety of roles in welcoming and supportive primary schools across Oldham
- Flexible work to suit your availability - daily supply, long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities
- Dedicated support from your local consultant
