Graduate Teaching Assistant

Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant (Contract)
Location: West Lancashire

We are recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive primary school in Skelmersdale. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, psychology, or education, offering valuable classroom and SEN experience.

You will support pupils across the classroom, working 1:1 or in small groups, and assisting the class teacher with day-to-day learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils' learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis

Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities

Support pupils with additional needs where required

Promote positive behaviour and engagement

Work closely with teachers and SEN staff

Requirements:

Degree in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields desirable)

Passion for working with children

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach

Commitment to safeguarding
