DescriptionSalary £25,185 - £25,989 Per Annum | Permanent | Part Time | Various Hours | Chorley District
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer‑focused and digitally confident individual to join our library teams. Lancashire Libraries provide welcoming, inclusive spaces where people of all ages can connect, learn and feel safe. What You’ll Be Doing- Assist customers with accessing digital resources and information.
- Support planning and delivery of events (e.g., author events, class visits).
- Engage with customers to promote reading for pleasure.
You will be appointed to one or more library bases, with the expectation to work at other libraries as required.
The Posts Available Are- Eccleston Library – 16hpw
- Coppull Library – 21hpw
We seek a welcoming, friendly individual with a love of reading and a passion for sharing the experience. You should have excellent communication and digital skills, be able to work with a range of stakeholders and deliver a customer‑focused service.

Interview ProcessThe interview process has two parts.
Part 1 – Assessment Day- Meeting with a manager
- Tour of the library and explanation of duties
- Work‑related short assessments
Assessment Date: 9am to 4pm, 31st January – Chorley Library
Part 2 – InterviewInterview Date: 4th February – Chorley Library
