Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision

Location:

Leyland

Start Date:

ASAP
Pay: £107 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)

Hours:

08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract:

Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within specialist education provisions in the Leyland area. This role involves supporting primary and secondary aged students with additional needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and thrive within the school environment.

The Role:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities

Supporting pupils with additional needs, including behavioural, emotional and learning needs

Helping to implement individual education and behaviour plans

Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

Previous experience working within specialist provisions is essential

Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs

Minimum of 24 months employment history, with no significant gaps

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce), or willingness to apply and pay for one

Reliable, adaptable and passionate about supporting student development

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
