Key Stage Teacher Supply are collaborating with the Directors of a Nursery attached to a school in Leyland, with wrap‑around care, to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team full‑time from January 2026. The position may be temporary or permanent, or straight to a permanent contract for the right person. The nursery operates term‑time only; however a salaried contract would be pro‑rata for the full year.
Responsibilities- Support the Nursery Manager in the smooth and efficient leadership of the nursery, deputising in their absence and ensuring high standards of care, education, and compliance with EYFS and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the daily leadership and management of the nursery.
- Support the promotion of the nursery, school, and company to families, visitors, and the wider community.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire staff, ensuring roles and responsibilities are fulfilled under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EYFS policies and procedures and ensure they are consistently applied.
- Support effective communication across the nursery, including organising and contributing to team meetings.
- Assist with enrolment procedures for new families, including visits, administration, and induction.
- Ensure medical and dietary needs are accurately recorded and communicated.
- 2+ years EYFS management experience.
- Leadership/management experience or qualification.
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Early Years (or equivalent).
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Family partnership working.
- Excellent communication skills.
