Quantity Surveyor - Residential New Build Housing

Lancashire - £50,000 - £65,000 + comprehensive package

An established and respected house builder is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The business delivers high-quality residential developments across Lancashire and the wider North West, with a strong reputation for craftsmanship, sustainability, and community-focused design. The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring developments are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest construction standards. You'll work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, providing commercial support across multiple live projects.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

Managing project costs from tender through to final account

Preparing bills of quantities, valuations, and cost forecasts

Procuring and managing subcontractor packages

Monitoring budgets, variations, and cashflow

Preparing and reviewing contracts and commercial reports

Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations

Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

The Ideal Candidate
The successful Quantity Surveyor will thrive in a busy residential environment and bring strong commercial acumen, accuracy, and communication skills.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential new build housing

Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and cost control processes

Experience managing multiple plots or phased developments

Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering value

Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar)

A proactive, team-focused approach
