Children's Home Registered Manager

Overview

Lead a therapeutic children's home where your expertise directly transforms young lives and creates lasting positive change. This is an Ofsted Registered Manager role in an EBD home in Blackpool, offering up to £55k per annum plus a bonus to £10k per annum. You will read more about the role below and apply if interested.

Develop, lead and inspire a staff team within a therapeutically minded environment to support children in their growth and healing.

• Provide care for children/young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 8–17 years.
• Ensure the home operates in compliance with the Children s Home Regulations and Quality Standards (2015).
• Implement and work in accordance with the Statement of Purpose within the Children s Home.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the home, advocating for the children to help them thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain safeguarding procedures and knowledge of relevant regulations, including Ofsted inspections and the SCCIF framework.
• Develop and supervise a staff team, delegating tasks as appropriate to roles and responsibilities.
• Be part of an on-call system and work alongside the Responsible Individual, psychologists and therapists to develop the Organisation s Therapeutically Informed Training programme.
• Contribute to robust recruitment processes to create and maintain a safe workforce.

• Minimum of 5 years  experience in a role relevant to residential care of children; at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People s Workforce
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
• A history of a “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted grade in recent inspections.
• A good understanding of Therapeutic Practices and PACE.
