💷 Salary: £50,000 increasing to £65,000 upon successful registration of home


Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Children’s Home – Therapeutic-led
👧🧒 Service Users:
Children & Young People aged 8–18, with complex needs including MH support, therapeutic interventions, and challenging behaviour
🎓 Qualifications

Required:

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare, or equivalent
📆 Experience in Years

Required:

Minimum 4 years management experience in residential childcare

We are seeking a highly experienced Registered Manager who:

  • Has a proven track record of achieving and sustaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings in children’s homes
  • Can lead, supervise, and appraise staff, including safer recruitment practices
  • Is proficient in legislation, regulatory compliance, and Ofsted guidance
  • Is passionate about care and motivated to positively influence the outcomes of children and young people
  • Holds a driving licence and access to a vehicle

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in delivering high‑quality care and support to children and young people
  • Work with external agencies, Ofsted, LA, and Reg 44 to ensure standards are met
  • Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and strategies to meet regulatory requirements
  • Monitor service effectiveness and ensure positive outcomes for children
  • Oversee recruitment, supervision, and training of staff
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting, ensuring compliance at all times
⚠️ Entry Requirements
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare, or equivalent
  • At least 4 years’ management experience in a residential children’s home setting
  • Minimum of 2 “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings in previous roles
  • Familiarity with therapeutic approaches, MH experience, DOLS, neuro de‑escalation
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and partnership working
