This is a Floating Support Worker role in our Connecting People Service, the base for the role being located at the Camfan Service, Lampeter, Ceredigion. The Manager & Floating Support Workers provide a passion for supporting individuals experiencing challenging times.

You will provide community support to individuals (18+) who have mild learning disabilities. The support provided can be around housing challenges, mental health issues, substance misuse, and other complex needs. With assisting with sustaining & securing suitable accommodation, it is rewarding when you are part of an individual's development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide community support to individuals (18+) with mild learning disabilities.
  • Assist with sustaining & securing suitable accommodation.
  • Support individuals around housing challenges, mental health issues, substance misuse, and other complex needs.
  • Work alone as well as being a great team player.
  • Deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
Requirements
  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.
  • A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible.
  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people's lives.
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
Working Pattern

Part-time Floating Support Worker. Predominantly Monday – Friday office hours, although flexibility is required for the service needs.

Pay & Pension

£24,531.00 FTE (£12.75 per hour)
