Front‑end checkout associates run registers, greeting customers, ringing up items, processing payments, and maintaining a positive attitude. The role may require standing for long periods and being ready to assist with customer questions and needs.

The hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance incentives, and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply where criteria are met.
