Schedule

Full-Time, 36 hours per week, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. On call required.

Job Description

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care to women in labor through delivery and postpartum, as well as care for the newborn. The role includes ensuring all aspects of maternal childcare.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor the labor process.
• Prepare for C-sections and inductions, ensuring proper documentation of nursing care.
• Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum, including infant care and patient education.
• Prepare the delivery room and provide emotional support to patients.
• Coordinate transfers as necessary and adhere to infection control principles and OB department policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN graduate with current Colorado licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment.
• Preferred 4 years of experience in Obstetrics care.
• Knowledge of or interest in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing care essentials.
• Ability to perform in highly stressful situations with effective communication skills.
