Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor.
• Assist with inductions, C-sections, and delivery procedures.
• Provide newborn care immediately after delivery.
• Prepare delivery rooms and ensure required equipment and supplies are available.
• Administer IV medications and treatments as ordered.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families.
• Follow infection control policies and sterile techniques.
• Coordinate patient transfers when necessary.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Active Colorado RN License
• CPR/BLS Certification – Required
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification – Required within 1 year
• ACLS Certification – Required within 1 year

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery experience
• Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn care practices

Skills:

• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress clinical environments
• Knowledge of labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
