* Job Description:
** - Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of obstetrics? - As an RN, you'll provide exceptional direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the highest standard of maternal and infant care.
- Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and monitoring the labor process - Preparing for C-sections and inductions - Accurately documenting nursing care - Administering compassionate care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum - Supporting newborn care and delivering patient education - Preparing the delivery room and providing emotional support to families - Coordinating transfers when necessary - Administering IV medications while adhering to infection control principles - You will report directly to the New Beginnings Birth Center Manager.
** Special Demands:** - Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting - Exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential infectious diseases

* Qualifications:

- Education:
RN graduate with current Colorado licensure and CPR certification
- Certifications:
Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS (to be obtained within one year)
- Experience:
Minimum of 4 years in Obstetrics care preferred
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing care essentials - Proficient in sterile technique and infection control - Ability to perform effectively under stress - Excellent communication skills with a diverse range of individuals
** Working Environment:** - Full-time position: 36 hours per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - May require shift rotations and flexibility based on staffing needs - On-call responsibilities are part of the role
