POSITION TITLE: VICE PRESIDENT OF STUDENT SERVICES AND SUCCESS
REPORTS TO: COLLEGE PRESIDENT
POSITION SUMMARY:
Lamar Community College (LCC), a federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution and member of the Colorado Community College System, invites applications for the Vice President of Student Services and Success (VPSSS). This executive-level leader serves as the College’s Chief Student Affairs and Enrollment Officer and a member of the President’s Cabinet.
The Vice President provides visionary, strategic, and operational leadership for all student-facing services, enrollment management functions, and student success initiatives. This role is responsible for advancing a comprehensive, data-informed approach to recruitment, enrollment, retention, persistence, completion, and holistic student development consistent with LCC’s mission:

The Vice President fosters a culture of care, belonging, accountability, and high expectations, ensuring that all students, particularly first-generation, rural, low-income, and historically underserved students, have equitable access to support systems that promote achievement and success.
This position requires on-campus leadership in Lamar, Colorado.
RESPONSIBILITIES Executive Leadership & Strategy- Serve as the Chief Student Services Officer and principal advisor to the President on student success, enrollment management, student engagement, and student life matters.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive Strategic Enrollment and Student Success Plan aligned with institutional priorities and CCCS system goals.
- Establish measurable enrollment, retention, persistence, and completion targets;monitor progress through analytics and performance dashboards.
- Serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet and participate in institution-wide planning, accreditation, and budget development.
- Represent LCC in CCCS system meetings, statewide councils, and community partnerships.
- Contribute to the identification, development, and advancement of external funding opportunities,including federal, state, and private grantsaligned with strategic enrollment growth, student success, and institutional priorities
Provide direct oversight of:
- Lead development and execution of dynamic, analytics-driven recruitment and retention strategies.
- Oversee the full enrollment funnel, including prospect development, application processing, onboarding, and re-enrollment initiatives.
- Convene cross-functional working groups (faculty, athletics, marketing, foundation, workforce, and academic leadership) to strengthen recruitment and persistence initiatives.
- Develop communication plans for all phases of admission, recruitment, financial aid, and retention.
- Analyze internal and external market data to informenrollmentprojections and resource planning.
- Build strategic partnerships with K-12 districts, workforce partners, community organizations, and regional employers to expand enrollment pipelines.
- Foster a dynamic and engaging campus life for all students.
- Maintain and update the Student Handbook and oversee judicial and grievance processes.
- Champion student engagement, leadership development, and co-curricular learning.
- Promote equity-minded practices that reduce achievement gaps and remove barriers to student success.
- Ensure divisional compliance with FERPA, ADA, Title IX, Clery Act, Veterans Affairs, Department of Education regulations, and CCCS policies.
- Oversee student conduct processes and ensure due processin accordance with institutional and system policies.
- Remain current on legal and regulatory changesimpactinghigher education and student affairs.
