Ryder is seeking a permanent full-time Material Handler in Lakewood, Washington.

Warehouse positions pay weekly.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour depending on experience. Employees may also be eligible for shift premium.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
