Base pay starts at $39.00 Per Hour

Shift: Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

* Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with general public, understand highway traffic signs/signals, respond to inquiries and to make entries on reports/records per DOT Reg 391.11

* Complete all assigned delivery routes. Driver will deliver to local construction jobsites and is responsible for manually offloading product

* Address customer questions, issues and concerns in a professional and timely fashion

* Represent the company in a professional manner at all times in both actions and personal appearance

* Adhere to Cascade policies and procedures

* Complete all delivery and return documentation accurately and legibly

* Maintain driver logs and inspections

* Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and organized condition

* Uphold all safety practices according to safety handbook and DOT regulations

* Load and unload trucks and assist others with loading and unloading

* Do 5 to 12 stops in western Washington market

* Will spend 50% time loading/unloading and 50% of the time driving

Qualifications

* Valid CDL A driver's license with a clean driving record

* Must be DOT compliant

* 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)

* Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc.

* Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist with or without assistance

* Ability to communicate well both verbally and written

* Must be able to work independently

* Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment
