Under the supervision of the Maintenance Specialist 4 in the Camp Murray Region of the ANG-West State Maintenance, this position provides skilled, journey-level functions associated with assigned work efforts for the ANG-West related facilities, systems, and equipment.
This is a civilian position and does not require military service affiliation.

Responsibilities- Journey-level work in the completion of assigned maintenance, repair, locksmith, and preventative maintenance efforts.
- Maintain state vehicles and motorized grounds equipment.
- Update and utilize the Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and the Air National Guard (ANG) Integrated Engineering Management System (iEMS) to allocate estimated labor hours and material costs to assigned work orders.
- Maintain state vehicles and motorized grounds equipment.
- Responsible to assist the grounds and custodial crew as needed.
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic 1.
- OR
- Three years of paid work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work.
- Experience:
- Journey-level understanding of maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
- Knowledge of:
- Methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in building and maintenance work.
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building trades.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and mechanical systems and components.
- CMMS functions as related to preventative maintenance, repair efforts, and inventory.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Perform journey-level work in all types of building maintenance.
- Read plans and blueprints for buildings, infrastructure systems, equipment, etc.
- Effectively layout and perform all types of building maintenance and construction installation, alteration, and repairs.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and SharePoint) to develop documents in support of program requirements.
- The ability to take action to learn and grow.
- The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.
Wage/salary depends on qualifications or rules of promotion.
Conditions of Employment Background InvestigationMust successfully complete the appropriate background checks required for employment and to obtain/maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) in order to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret-level security clearance. Must be willing to sign releases of information and shall not have access to any investigative materials and files. The processing of background checks can take up to six months post-employment. Failure to successfully pass a background check may be cause for termination.

Driver’s LicenseWillingness to work on a Military Controlled Access Installation. Camp Murray utilizes the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) for entry to the installation. Must meet access requirements / background check which can be found in the Camp Murray Access Requirements Policy (Unified Policy No. 18-01). This includes possession of an Enhanced Driver’s License, or other REAL Identification.
Work HoursA choice between a Tuesday through Friday (4/10 schedule):
Monday through Thursday (4/10 schedule): or Monday through Friday (5/8 schedule). Actual hours will start no earlier than 6:00 am and end no later than 6:00 pm, and will include core business hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This position is not eligible for telework.
