Pallet Inspector 1st Shift – Ryder System, Inc.
Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑time Pallet Inspectors for our warehouse manufacturing facility in Lakewood, WA.
Position Description- Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule:
First Shift Monday–Thursday 4:00 am – 2:30 pm
Manufacturing and Construction positions pay weekly.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–2 years experience in carpentry or a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to comprehend basic math.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a diverse environment.

- Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates initiative and accuracy even under pressure.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.

- Opens power equipment safely.
- Can lift/push/pull up to 50 lb and perform frequent twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (≥2 hrs, four times per 8‑hr shift).
Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer background requirements.
Responsibilities- Operate Palamatic machine to inspect and separate pallets safely and securely.
- Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line.
- Ensure quality inspection and separation meets company and safety standards.
- Conduct physical inventories as required.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
- Conduct operations promoting safety and complying with OSHA, MSDS standards.
- Wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
- Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
