Pallet Inspector 1st Shift – Ryder System, Inc.

Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑time Pallet Inspectors for our warehouse manufacturing facility in Lakewood, WA.

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  First Shift Monday–Thursday 4:00 am – 2:30 pm

Manufacturing and Construction positions pay weekly.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in carpentry or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic math.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, with good attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates initiative and accuracy even under pressure.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.

• Opens power equipment safely.
• Can lift/push/pull up to 50 lb and perform frequent twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (≥2 hrs, four times per 8‑hr shift).

Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer background requirements.

• Operate Palamatic machine to inspect and separate pallets safely and securely.
• Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line.
• Ensure quality inspection and separation meets company and safety standards.
• Conduct physical inventories as required.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Conduct operations promoting safety and complying with OSHA, MSDS standards.
• Wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
