About the Role
Pacific Heating & Cooling is expanding into residential plumbing and is seeking an experienced Plumbing Manager to build, lead, and grow our plumbing department. This is a unique opportunity for a hands‑on leader to establish systems, develop teams, and shape the future of a new division within a well-established, family‑owned company.
The Plumbing Manager will be responsible for launching and overseeing the plumbing department from the ground up. This role blends leadership, operations, and technical expertise. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can recruit and develop a team, establish processes, ensure compliance with Washington State regulations, and drive profitable growth while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:Build & Grow the Department
Launch and scale the plumbing team, tools, vehicles, inventory, and workflows
Develop growth and service plans aligned with company goals
Recruit, train, and develop plumbers and apprentices
Set expectations, track performance, and coach regularly
Promote a safety‑first, customer‑focused culture
Oversee daily scheduling, jobs, and KPIs (revenue, margin, callbacks, satisfaction)
Support dispatch and customer service for smooth operations
Follow WA L&I regulations, local codes, permits, and licensing requirements
Maintain certifications and enforce safety policies
Resolve escalated issues promptly
Assist with estimates, pricing, and job scoping
Partner with sales and marketing to drive leads and close rates
Manage inventory, materials, vendors, and costs
Identify efficiency and profitability improvements
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of residential plumbing experience
2+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role (preferred)
Washington State plumbing license (PL01, PL02 or equivalent) or ability to obtain/transfer (REQUIRED)
Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, water heaters, and code compliance
Proven ability to build teams, processes, and accountability
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Comfortable working in a growth‑focused, fast‑paced environment

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: 90,000‑130,000 annually, DOE
