Position: Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Lakewood, OH
A registered nurse with experience in stepdown care is needed to support the Endoscopy Suite at a level III trauma center. This unit specializes in both gastroenterology and pulmonology procedures, requiring familiarity with advanced equipment and techniques including Bravo monitoring, Speed banding, ERBE, management of GI bleeds, and food bolus procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate during endoscopy procedures, assisting providers efficiently and ensuring patient safety.
• Reprocess scopes following strict sterilization protocols.
• Collaborate with the medical team to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in a rotating call schedule shared among three staff members, covering weekday evenings ) and 24-hour weekend shifts.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Current RN license with stepdown experience.
• Knowledge of gastroenterology and pulmonology endoscopy procedures.
• Proficient in using Bravo, Speed banding, ERBE technology.
• Ability to manage acute situations involving GI bleeds and food bolus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Schedule and

Location:

• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a variable day off.
