Job Summary

The Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment in a modular closet facility. This role ensures the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Picking:
    • Accurately pick products from designated storage areas based on customer orders and packing slips.
    • Verify product codes, quantities, and quality before preparing orders for shipment.
    • Use barcode scanners, RF devices, and other technology to track inventory and order status.
  • Packing and Shipping:
    • Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
    • Label and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and shipping guidelines.
    • Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Assist in receiving and stocking incoming inventory.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
    • Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Safety and Cleanliness:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free warehouse.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth operations.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of picked and packed orders.
    • Assist in documenting any damaged or missing inventory items.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a warehouse or order‑picking role is preferred.
    • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Good organizational and time‑management skills.
    • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
    • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
    • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
