Position Purpose
The CDL Driver - Hazmat is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations or job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following all DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities- Follow DOT rules and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles safely.
- Comply with federal and state regulations regarding transport of hazardous materials.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safe and on-time deliveries.
- Load, unload, and organize orders carefully, securing products and separating hazardous material appropriately.
- Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
- Double‑check purchase orders and delivery tickets to confirm routes and inventory, reducing errors and improving customer satisfaction.
- Support job site safety by checking for and reporting any potential hazards to prevent accidents and protect people and property.
- Take photos of all delivered products as required by company policy.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts.

- Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds.
- Consistent physical activity, including bending, crouching, and prolonged seating and standing.
- Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles safely.
- Warehouse environment with noise, hot or cold temperatures.
- Driving in varied weather and traffic conditions.
- PPE required.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- HAZMAT Endorsement or willing to obtain
- Current DOT Medical Certification
- FMCSA Registration
- Ability to continuously lift up to 100 pounds
- 21 years old for transporting hazardous materials
- Clean driving record (no hits, runs, or DWI/DUI in last 18 months)
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and OSHA safety regulations
- Basic computer skills to record deliveries and track inventory on a computer or tablet
- Air Brake endorsement
- Experience with Manual or Automatic Transmission vehicles
- Valid unexpired forklift certification
- Valid unexpired Moffett (truck‑mounted forklift) certification
- Prior commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent

- No prior experience required; commercial driving experience and familiarity with DOT/OSHA safety regulations are preferred. Prior commercial driving experience and understanding of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are considered advantageous.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.08 to $29.38 per hour. Overtime may be eligible based on business needs. Additional benefits include hourly associates may be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
