SUMMARY: The Gutter Systems Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining gutter systems, leaders, and accessories on residential and commercial properties. The Gutter Systems Technician is also responsible for gutter cleaning, equipment maintenance, and managing gutter‑related inventory. The Gutter Technician is a key role – gutter jobs are often the last time installers are on the job site; maintaining open communication and completing the job efficiently helps to close out the job quicker and get referrals.
The ideal candidate for the Gutter Systems Technician role is a skilled tradesman, experienced in gutter installation, roofing, siding, or exterior construction. In addition to being able to effectively install and service gutter systems, they can collaborate effectively with our customers, ensuring all their concerns and questions are resolved in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install gutters, leaders, downspouts, and gutter accessories according to project specifications.
- Perform gutter repairs including sealing miters, re pitching, and redirecting gutter systems.
- Conduct routine gutter cleanings to ensure proper water flow and system performance.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and other equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot gutter issues, providing effective repair solutions.
- Maintain an organized gutter storage area, gutter installation truck, and manage inventory of all gutter materials and supplies.
- Provide detailed list of materials used on projects in order to keep an accurate inventory.
- Perform routine daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on gutter installation equipment and tools.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally on‑site.
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments and customers / homeowners to provide estimates and answer questions related to gutter installations and repairs.
- Assist team members and support other exterior installation projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 1‑3 years’ previous experience in gutter installation, roofing, siding, or exterior construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
