Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner – Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) | Lakewood, NJ
Compensation: $125,000–$135,000 (commensurate with experience & certification) + bonuses
A mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Lakewood, New Jersey is seeking a full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join its expanding OB/GYN and Women’s Health department. This position supports two established OB/GYN physicians and plays a key role in growing women’s health access for a diverse and underserved patient population.
Position Overview
The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive outpatient OB/GYN and women’s health services within a high-volume community health setting. The WHNP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage reproductive, gynecologic, and chronic women’s health needs while collaborating closely with OB/GYN physicians, medical assistants, and care coordination teams.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing approximately 3 patients per hour, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved populations. EMR proficiency and strong clinical judgment are essential.
Required Qualifications
Active New Jersey RN License
Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) License
Active New Jersey CDS and DEA Licenses
Certification by the NJ Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse
BLS for Providers (AHA)
Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
3–5 years’ experience as an RN in a medical center, private practice, or long-term care setting (open to new graduates)
Preferred Qualifications
Dual certification (e.g., WHNP + FNP or Internal Medicine)
Prior experience in OB/GYN, reproductive health, or women’s health
Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or underserved population
Ability to manage higher patient volumes (approx. 30 patients/day)
Strong EMR proficiency
