As the Senior Manager, Global Sourcing and Supply Strategy for Medical Device CMOs, Electronics and Mechanicals
, you’ll play a key role shaping global procurement strategies for a highly respected, innovation‑driven medical device organization. This position is responsible for the development of supplier relationships to support strategic supplier programs, while driving supplier performance, ensuring cost‑reduction initiatives, and maintaining supply continuity to meet critical business objectives. As a key partner to cross‑functional teams, you’ll drive sourcing strategy for both new product initiatives and established product lines—specifically focusing on complex medical‑grade device components and critical materials that directly impact product performance and patient outcomes.
You’ll lead supplier selection, performance management, risk mitigation, and contract negotiations while building strong, ethical partnerships with world‑class component manufacturers. In this role, you’ll coach and develop a high‑performing team, champion continuous improvement, and influence decision‑making across the business to optimize quality, value, and long‑term operational success.
- Development and implementation of global category strategies to support portfolio (current and/or future) based on knowledge of global markets, suppliers, and competitive landscape.
- Coaches’ direct reports and/or provides direction to team using general policies and management guidance related to the tasks and projects.

Lead decision making process for supplier selection related to New Product Initiatives and work with I&D, SQE and suppliers to define specifications. - SPO

Identify and propose alternate materials/sources to I&D and Operations during the product life cycle for improving value and mitigating risk. - Review supplier performance reports consistent with agreed requirements and conduct scorecard and regular business reviews to ensure alignment with quality, service, and delivery objectives and drive continuous performance improvements.
- Measure quality of procurement performance through metrics and feedback from constituent customer groups. Develop, maintain, promote, and distribute key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure optimal partnerships that facilitate sustainable performance levels with suppliers through both formal programs and informal meetings.
- Eliminate barriers and resolve escalated procurement issues. Assertively champion a culture of continuous improvement within the Procurement department.
- Act as an active member of the cross‑divisional Terumo Corporate (TC) Procurement Committee, investigate, negotiate and approve all contracts for major materials used across TC companies.
