- Process biweekly payrolls accurately in UKG, ensuring all employee data, hours, and calculations are correct
- Accurately enter and confirm payroll data received from properties prior to payroll processing
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll data related to new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, direct deposits, tax with holdings, and deductions
- Process final and manual checks in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Process off cycle payroll runs when required
- Provide back-up support for all payroll cycles as required
- Monitor missed punches, unapproved time, and timecard exceptions and follow up with managers
- Review and validate timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Audit timekeeping data for accuracy and policy compliance
- Support managers with timekeeping questions and system navigation
- Review time off balances weekly and process adjustments as needed
- Calculate and enter retroactive pay adjustments, including WAOT calculations
- Manage wage garnishments, tax levies, court ordered support payments, and payroll advances in compliance with legal and company requirements
- Respond to garnishment interrogatories accurately and within required time frames
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all payroll records and sensitive employee information
- Review personnel records entered by the HRIS team to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Audit and reconcile payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Follow internal controls and audit procedures
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining and providing required payroll documentation
- Stay current on payroll laws, tax regulations, wage and hour rules, and company policies to ensure ongoing compliance
- Upload payroll related forms and documentation to employee profiles in UKG
- Assist with system testing during UKG upgrades, patches, or configuration changes
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records
- Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 audits, preparation, and distribution
- Provide timely, professional support to employees and managers regarding payroll questions, discrepancies, and policies
- Provide employees with copies of pay stubs, W 2s, or other payroll documents upon request (following verification procedures)
- Maintain clear and effective communication with staff, management, and cross functional departments
- Respond promptly to payroll related inquiries
- Attend mandatory payroll training as scheduled
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Work Experience
- 1–2 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
- Experience with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred
- Must be literate and fluent in English
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
