Up to 29 hours per week, 9 PM - 9 AM (Awake - Weekend Overnights)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Awake Overnight Staff provides continuous overnight care to ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of individuals served. This position remains awake during the shift and conducts regular safety checks, responds to needs as they arise, and supports health, behavioral, and emotional care using approved practices. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, deep cleaning tasks and meal preparation to maintain a safe and supportive home environment.

This role is critical to promoting independence, dignity, and stability for the people we serve.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide quality care and support to individuals in accordance with their individualized service plans.
  • Promote independence, skill development, and community participation.
  • Ensure compliance with DDRC policies, procedures, and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the Lead Counselor and Program Manager.
  • Model professionalism, respect, and person-centered values in all interactions.
  • This position has physical requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds.*
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to push, pull, and position wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
  • Manual dexterity for personal care and adaptive equipment support.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to meet agency driving requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, and behavioral intervention training.
  • This position has physical requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds.

BENEFITS & PERKS
  • As a substitute/on-call employee you have the flexibility to pick up shifts that work with your schedule. You can work 0-29 hours per week.
  • This position is not benefit-eligible.
  • 1 hour of sick time is given for every 30 hours worked, in accordance with Colorado Law.
