• Prepare for patient visits: review and update records before appointments, ensuring recent test results and correspondence are current.
• Maintain exam rooms: clean and stock rooms between visits, adhering to infection control standards.
• Patient preparation: prepare patients for visit and notify provider when ready.
• Initial medical screening: greet patients, take vital signs, document basic medical history.
• Assist during exams: support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Efficient use of time: restock supplies, check inventory, keep all areas clean and orderly.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document accurately; high degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
• Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of “Universal Precautions” and adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Valid state driver’s license preferred.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid certification as Medical Assistant or EMT preferred.
• Current, valid CPR certification.

$20.36 - $23.27 per hour.
