We are searching for an Arch Flash Electrical Engineer to join our team! This is a full-time, exempt position based in Lakewood, CO, Grand Junction, CO or Albuquerque, NM, (Colorado preferred). This role can evolve into hybrid and requires travel to project locations throughout the United States, with an estimated travel frequency of 25%.

Pay: $93,600 to $114,000 annually, depending on experience
Essential Functions- Prepare electrical studies including short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, grounding, and arch-flash analysis.
- Develop electrical system models in SKM and ETAP
- Write technical reports summarizing results from electrical model analysis
- Correctly interpret results and make appropriate recommendations
- Participate in electrical field surveys to gather information for electrical model creation
- Apply knowledge of electrical engineering to create electrical studies, produce detailed electrical design drawings, and evaluate existing electrical equipment
- Understand best power distribution design practices and relevant codes and standards
- Implement requirements from NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in electrical design, construction, and/of commissioning of building, facilities, and industrial complexes.
- Proven experience with SKM software, formal SKM training is a plus; proven experience with ETAP software.
- Strong technical writing skills are essential, as this role involves preparing clear, accurate, and well-organized reports and project documentation.
- Experience with or ability to become a project lead.
- Field experience working in and around various commercial buildings and industrial facilities
- 5+ years of experience working with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards related to short-circuit, arc flash, and protective devices
- Experience with electrical safety, lockout/tagout, arc-flash, and electrical codes
- Excellent problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail-oriented and proficient documentation
- Effective teamwork abilities
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout the United States for 1 to 5 days approximately every other month.
- Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills.
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Background Check and Screenings- Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass the company DMV check
- A Federal Government background review that can include checks of personal references, drug screen, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verification may be required as applicable.

Physical demands and working conditions are those of typical office environment, including sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time. Physical effort such as lifting, pulling, or pushing is generally not required. Position requires close vision for use of computer or reviewing documents.
Safety MeasuresWhen conducting site visits for data collection or system assessment, arc-flash analysis engineers must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to mitigate potential risks associated with electrical equipment and arch-flash hazards.
