Responsibilities
  • Collect building material, air, and noise samples.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Input data into template reports.
  • Perform asbestos inspections, including:
    • Asbestos sampling
  • Oversee asbestos abatement projects.
  • Perform lead‑based paint inspections, including:
    • Lead sampling
    • Clearance testing
  • Conduct water intrusion and mold assessments, including:
    • Moisture mapping
    • Visible suspect biological growth assessments
    • Mold sampling and clearance protocols
  • Follow written scopes of work and take detailed field notes.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive work‑performed reports using established templates and guidance.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed on all project sites.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Colorado Certified Asbestos Building Inspector (CABI) – required.
  • Colorado Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS) – strongly preferred.
  • 1‑5 years of relevant industrial hygiene or environmental consulting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently under general oversight from a Senior Industrial Hygiene professional.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, clients, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft concise, detailed, and accurate work‑performed reports.
  • Experience with asbestos, mold, and lead sampling.
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and Colorado state regulations.
  • Interest in professional growth through additional certifications, continuing education, and cross‑training (e.g., compliance audits, Phase I ESAs, stormwater inspections, and environmental sampling).
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • This role is primarily field‑based, with the majority of time spent conducting building assessments, inspections, and sampling activities.
  • Report writing and data analysis are performed when not in the field.
  • Occasional evening, overnight, or weekend work may be required to allow access to unoccupied buildings and minimize disruption to occupants.
  • Schedules are planned in advance whenever possible, with flexibility provided when after‑hours work is required.
