As an Electrical Engineer in the Solar Engineering group, you will be responsible for performing engineering design and analysis under the charge of a Professional Engineer. You will be part of an integrated design team and coordinate with members to meet project schedules and deliverables on time and within budget.

This opportunity is available to both local / in‑office (Lakewood, CO) and full‑time remote candidates.

• Perform detailed design of all aspects of PV Electrical Power Systems including string sizing, array layouts, tracker power and communication, one‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, Balance of System/Plant equipment details, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, equipment specifications, and project schedules.
• Prepare computer‑based models and perform power system studies on utility‑scale PV power plants including short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, collection system grounding, harmonic analysis, and other related studies.
• Review equipment data sheets, manuals, and testing reports for design and approvals.
• Prepare a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, and studies.
• Provide field assistance, troubleshooting, and observation reports.
• Verify the work of Designers, Drafters, and Field Service Personnel for general quality and accuracy, as required.
• Maintain professional understanding of all applicable Codes and Standards and construction practices.
• Maintain strong and responsive Company‑Client relationships, particularly for communication pertaining to specific assignments and meeting topics.
• Maintain high ethical and professional standards.
• Work additional time beyond 40 hours/week to complete projects, proposals, and/or administrative functions, as required.
• Attend conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and to maintain quality of work.
• Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines.
• Perform other job‑related responsibilities as assigned.

• Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution; electric power option preferred.
• Experience: 3–6+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Licensure: FE, PE is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge and familiarity with medium and low voltage distribution, switch gear, motor control centers, and industrial instrumentation and controls.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Possesses effective written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and people skills.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

• Proficiency with power system software such as Easy Power, ETAP, SKM, and CYMCAP.
• Proficiency in PVsyst and other PV‑specific software packages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

• Work Environment: Work is performed in an office setting and some field work may be required.
