Edward Jones is seeking an AV Live Events Engineer to take ownership of the technical delivery for our live, hybrid, and virtual events. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality audio, video, lighting, and remote experiences, primarily within the main auditorium, with additional support for secondary and ancillary event spaces as needed.The role serves as the technical lead during live events and is responsible for operating and improving the technologies that power our event experience, including ownership of our Zoom Events platform. This position is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys running shows, collaborating with presenters and stakeholders, and evolving event technology to better support engaging, professional experiences.
The AV Live Events Engineer owns the end‑to‑end live event audio, video, and stage experience, primarily within the main auditorium, with secondary support for a multi‑purpose room and support for adjacent ancillary spaces such as atriums, lobbies, and overflow areas as needed for live events.
This role runs the technical execution of live events, serving as the on‑site and virtual technical lead responsible for audio, video, lighting, and system performance under live conditions. The position partners with internal clients during event planning to prepare presenters, systems, and platforms, but does not manage event logistics such as room bookings, catering, or scheduling.
What You’ll Do:- Operating live audio, video switching, and stage lighting systems
- Owning and administering the Zoom Events platform
- Supporting hybrid and remote event delivery
- Troubleshooting issues in real time
- Collaborating with AV integrators and vendors on system upgrades and improvements.
- Supporting the continued transition toward modern, network‑based AV and broadcast‑influenced workflows.
- Providing both on‑site and remote support and requires occasional evening and weekend work to support live events.
- 3+ years of professional AV or live event production experience in corporate, venue, higher‑education, or broadcast‑adjacent environments
- Demonstrated experience running live events end‑to‑end, with responsibility for technical execution
- Strong understanding of audio signal flow, gain structure, and live mixing fundamentals
- Hands‑on experience with audio‑over‑IP systems, particularly Dante
- Working knowledge of stage and presenter lighting for live events
- Experience supporting large‑scale virtual or hybrid event platforms, including Zoom Events
- Familiarity with broadcast‑style production workflows and modern IP‑based media transport
- Working knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 concepts
- Experience with digital audio consoles, production intercoms, or IFB systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, signal flow diagrams, and system documentation
