Commercial Construction Estimator

About the Company

We are a well-established commercial general contractor delivering ground-up commercial construction projects across multiple markets. Our team is known for strong preconstruction leadership, accurate estimating, and successful project execution from concept through completion.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator with 5+ years of experience estimating ground-up commercial projects. This role plays a critical part in the preconstruction process, working closely with project management, leadership, and trade partners to develop competitive, accurate bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing from schematic design through GMP and hard bid
• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor bids
• Develop budgets, value engineering options, and cost studies
• Review drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps and risks
• Collaborate with project management and operations teams during handoff
• Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and subcontractor interviews as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator
• Proven experience estimating ground-up commercial projects
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, OST, Procore, or similar)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
