JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary
Purpose:
- Responsible for the generation of new business/revenue and maintenance of the existing business/revenue on the existing Tallgrass interstate natural gas pipeline and storage assets which includes contracting and renewing customers for firm and interruptible services, customer support, and research and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience actively working in the natural gas industry.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
- Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
- Must have a high desire to understand utilization of Tallgrass assets and how they are impacted by industry dynamics.
- Must possess a strong and creative negotiation skillset.
- Must be a highly motivated individual that requires minimal supervision to accomplish goals.
- Must be able to perform data and research analysis, draw a conclusion from the analysis, present and support the conclusion.
- Must have good verbal skills, listening skills and be able to problem-solve.
- Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
- Must be able to work with a team in a collaborative fashion, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
- Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.

- Occasional travel is anticipated and required.
- Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
- The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

- Working knowledge of FERC natural gas regulations.
- Working knowledge of the North American natural gas infrastructure and pipelines.
- Working knowledge of the North American natural gas markets.
- Previous trading and/or origination/business development experience.
- Transactional experience with natural gas pipelines, producers, storage, and end users.
- Familiar with Tallgrass natural gas pipeline and storage assets
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- The annual salary range for this position will be $100,000-$185,000/yr.

Essential duties and Responsibilities- Analyze potential market opportunities for a variety of natural gas commercial services, including transportation, storage, park and loans, commodity sales/purchases etc.
- Optimize existing interstate natural gas pipeline and storage field capacity, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term organizational goals and objectives.
- Execute short-term physical and financial transactions as required.
- Renew existing business and pursue contract rollovers/assignments.
- Identify and optimize park & loan opportunities; prepare and conduct open seasons.
- Understand customer utilization of Tallgrass services to uncover opportunities and propose growth strategies for the assets.
- Strategize, prepare, and conduct open seasons for firm transportation and/or storage capacity across the Tallgrass natural gas assets.
- Accurately track firm and interruptible service transactions.
