The successful candidate will direct and perform all vehicle maintenance necessary, including routine maintenance, adjustments, rebuilding, replacing parts, welding, and painting.

• Perform routine safety inspections on equipment used in nursery production and observe all laws and safety procedures.
• Provide daily work direction to vehicle maintenance employees.
• Fabricate or customize specialized equipment needed for nursery production.
• Work cooperatively with other departments and maintain their equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork in a neat and timely manner.
• Maintain facilities in a neat and orderly condition at all times.
• Maintain communication with the Manager when needed.

• Must be able to operate a variety of nursery production equipment, such as farm tractors, skid loaders, forklifts, and semi-tractors.
• High school diploma plus a two-year certificate from an Agriculture-specific institution and two years of nursery/landscape production experience, including one year in a leadership role.
• Must have a Class D license and a valid CDL driver’s license is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience in basic equipment maintenance, including welding, engine, electrical, transmission, hydraulics, and other related work.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and 100 lbs. occasionally.

• Primarily Monday – Friday position with overtime and weekends as necessary.

Compensation: $27.50
