Job Description
Performs a variety of welding processes using electric resistance, oxyacetylene, or plasma-arc torches. Welds commonly used metals and alloys of various shapes, sizes, thicknesses, etc. Selects welding electrodes for specific welds to ensure penetration and fusion of base and filler metals. Fabricates or repairs products according to blueprints, layouts, or work orders by welding metal components together. Possesses a working knowledge of welding materials and equipment.
Role could be performed by an employee with preferably a high school education or equivalent and welding certification required, and three years experience.
$23.14/hour
