Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated QA Technician to be the voice of quality on the production floor, ensuring adherence to SQF Level 3, GMP, SOPs, Quality Standards, and Organic certification. This role is a balance between floor responsibilities and data entry/lab work, providing an opportunity to contribute significantly to the quality assurance process.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the voice of quality on the production floor, overseeing SQF Level 3, GMP, SOPs, Quality Standards, and Organic certification.
+ Ensure product checks are completed and provide training to production staff on GMPs.
+ Release products and maintain accurate batch record information according to quality standards.
+ Conduct documentation, sampling, and manage samples sent to third-party testing labs.
+ Perform color and moisture testing for honey and syrup, including pH, refractive index, and viscosity analysis.
+ Analyze data from honey sampling, ensuring results are entered into the system.
+ Utilize lab equipment such as colorimeters and refractometers for testing.
+ Collect and ship 4oz samples to Germany for third-party testing, including managing Fed Ex labeling and packaging.
+ Send Sample Request Forms (SARF) to QSI lab via email.
+ Enter lab results into the system and manage bottling room paperwork.
+ Review supplier and customer documentation, coordinating requests and uploading documents to customer portals.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ BA/BS in a scientific degree preferred, but not required.
+ 3-5 years of experience in food safety or quality is preferred if no degree is held.
+ Potential to become HACCP and PCQI certified, with financial support for certification.
+ Allowance for continued education up to $3,000.
Work Environment
The position is based out of a brand new location in Lakeville. The role operates on a 2nd shift schedule with options for 4-10s or 5-8s, running from 3pm to 1:30am (Monday-Thursday) or 3pm to 11:30pm (Monday-Friday). Employees work in a GMP environment with hairnet and beard net requirements. Two pairs of steel-toed boots are provided annually. Initial training will occur on the first shift for a week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
