RN Supervisor & Educator Evenings

Overview

The Moments is a 92-suite memory care community located in Lakeville. Designed to provide the highest level of compassion and clinical care possible. Our community views the RN supervisor as an important role in ensuring the continuation of our high quality clinical care through the evening hours. This position is supervisory and, most importantly, as an educator to our LPNs and CNAs.

Tasked with continual training and education, you will use your RN license to its fullest purpose. Our goal is to provide positive reinforcement of the wonderful care we currently provide.

We at The Moments believe that great care of residents and the continuation of our philosophy starts with the great care of our team. With the campus expansion in Lakeville, we have designed and built a sensory-designed and functional community for our residents and staff, including an “employee” level built with the team at the forefront. This level includes a team huddle room for pre-shift hand off, men’s and women’s locker rooms modeled after high-end local fitness center locker areas, a staff breakroom with foosball, air hockey, Ms.

Pacman, reclining couch and love seat, and a 65” television, as well as a large kitchen and counter area. We also have a fitness room for staff with cardio and weights.

The Moments offers our team Health Insurance, currently with access to the Mayo system, HSA, Dental, PTO and a 401K. Starting pay is commensurate with your experience.

Because we believe in growth and education on the ever-evolving care processes for our staff we have The Moments Academy where-as a team member you will have the opportunity to take part in classes from our own team of experts in the field and outside experts. We believe that without education and growth we will only stand still, and this starts with our team.

Finally, The Moments prides itself on providing the highest level of care for our residents. To us this means first an inherent compassion, passion, and love of seniors but specifically those who may not be able to care for themselves. As every day starts over you will realize that nothing was the same from yesterday and an ability to pivot and understand the day is extremely important.

A level of calm compassion and thinking on your feet are a must.

• Monitor resident charts and nursing notes
• Fill medication for administration by LPNs & CNAs and check new medications from the pharmacy. Ensure medication procedures are being followed correctly.
• Supervise medication practices and medical equipment being used by residents.
• Communicates with physicians and other personnel regarding changes in residents’ needs or conditions
• Directly supervise LPNs’ and CNAs’ shift performance
• Participate in rotation of Manager on Duty responsibilities one weekend day a month
• Rotating on-call status possible
• Supports site leadership
• Adheres to all performance, confidentiality, and professional standards
• Assist with orientation and training of new nursing personnel
• Educate staff as necessary

• Demonstrate self-awareness, self-management, situational leadership
• Excellent oral communication skills to relate professionally with residents, staff, and family
• Good organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to promote and maintain a positive attitude and encourage others to do the same
• Ability to manage several concurrent assignments and prioritize a workload accordingly
• Ability to work with diverse teams; adjust styles
• EHR and computer skills;
  Point Click Care  a plus

• Must be licensed with the State of Minnesota as an RN and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
• Must receive a “not disqualified” criminal background result from Department of Human Services and may not be on the OIG exclusions list
• Must be screened for TB
