EPTAM Precision Micro‑Machining is looking for a Shipping Specialist – Part Time to join our team in Lakeville, MN. We create medical devices that support our OEM partners in creating life‑saving parts and positive outcomes for their patients.

This role is part‑time and will be approximately 20 to 28 hours per week.

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy while ensuring compliance with customer and quality requirements.
Essential Functions- Follow the Quality Management System and documented procedures.
- Report process deviations or unmet requirements to management.
- Coordinate with vendors on priorities and lead times.
- Prepare, package, label, and document all outgoing shipments per customer requirements.
- Ensure accuracy of quantities, part identification, and shipping instructions.
- Provide tracking information for shipments to ensure traceability.
- Verify and receive incoming shipments in the ERP system.
- Inspect incoming OSV materials and report discrepancies or damage.
- Use assigned email groups for all shipping communication.
- Update job records and assist with corrections or RMAs.
- Support inventory management activities, including providing inventory information, assisting with audits or counts, resolving discrepancies, monitoring inventory levels, and performing other related duties.
- Follow all Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Suggest improvements for inspection work processes and methods.
- Assist with training and cross training other team members.
- Assist other departments when requested.
- Add expedite notes and shipping updates to jobs as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and line clearance of work areas.
- Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal, and ISO audits, as well as FDA inspections.
- Understand the sensitivity of the data handled by the systems under your control and take appropriate measures to protect it.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 1+ year(s) in shipping and receiving or demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position.
- Experience in Quality Systems in an ISO regulated manufacturing environment (custom medical device contract manufacturing preferred) is helpful.
- Knowledge of standard shipping documentation and packaging materials.
- Ability to operate basic material‑handling tools and shipping equipment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Maintains a personal and professional ‘continuous improvement’ mindset.
- Organized, attentive to detail and able to prioritize projects with competing deadlines.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve overall goals and objectives of the organization.
- Adequate computer skills in Microsoft Office software:
Outlook. - Understanding of the site Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
